Has the presence of digital marketing limit the effectiveness of email marketing?

Social media and other forms of digital marketing has really taken over email marketing, no doubt. But this doesn't mean that email marketing is not still effective. In fact, because of its cheapness, many marketers have opted for it. They believe it is a better way of reaching out to many users at a cost effective price.

What do you think? Do you think presence of digital media has really reduced the presence of email marketing?
